Car Show Today.

We went to a new car show today. It was at a park behind the old Omni Mall. When we first arrived, we thought it was going to be a bust. Only one old car, and the weather looked like it was going to hell fast (already a slight drizzle). But, we has made the drive, so we figured it wouldn't hurt to stick around awhile.

Let me say ... this show was top notch!

It was in conjunction with "Brunch on the Bay" which boasted a Jazz concert for City of Miami residents. They served food - roast pork, spicy chicken, rice and beans, and yuca (all the food was terrific). They also had wine, beer, and champagne for mimosas (of course I had to indulge)and the normal fare of sodas and water. In addition, all day long there was live jazz music.

We took the '55 Buick. There were about 20-25 cars that came out, and the neighbors section of the Herald talked to us about why we brought out the car, etc. It's supposed to be in print in a couple of weeks. I'll have to stalk the Herald website.
